Police say a Contra Costa County Sheriff's deputy was arrested for firing a gun inside a house party in Sacramento.
Kyle Rowland, 23, of Sacramento, was charged with attempted murder after he allegedly opened fire Friday during a confrontation with partygoers at around 2 a.m. Rowland left briefly and returned with two guns.
He fired one gun, but no one was injured. He was dismissed from his deputy position after his arrest.
Rowland sings and plays harmonica for the Kyle Rowland Blues Band. The band has been playing frequently in the Sacramento area since 2010.
