The Field Poll finds 74 percent of voters are in favor of requiring beverage companies to include the warning.

It also finds about two-thirds of Californians support taxing the sale of sodas, and using the proceeds for school nutrition and physical activity programs for kids.

The Field Poll was funded by the California Endowment.

A Democratic state lawmaker recently introduced a bill that would require a warning on sodas and sugary drinks.
