The California Department of Food and Agriculture ordered a statewide recall and quarantine of some raw milk products from Organic Pastures dairy near Fresno.
The department says it found a pathogen called campylobacter in the dairy's unpasteurized cream, and that 10 illnesses are likely linked to the dairy.
Steve Lyle is from CDFA.
LYLE:"Some people with illness from campylobacter have no symptoms at all. However in folks with a compromised immune system it can cause serious life-threatening infection."
MCAFEE: "Our bacteria counts have never been lower or more consistent, and we're not going anywhere. Our consumers absolutely rely upon us, because they have allergies to pasteurized milk, and they don't have allergies to raw milk."
