Schenirer's "Way Up" initiative kicked off at the Oak Park Community Center with a broccoli-planting demonstration for kids from Keith B Kenny Elementary. Broccoli is just part of Schenirer's five-part plan.
SCHENIRER: "It's got pieces of health, education, home ownership, jobs, community gardens. It's really a comprehensive look at what the city and its partners including the four health systems here including the Sacramento City Unified School District can do to support a strong, vibrant neighborhood."
