The Clayton Brothers Quintet is a world-renowned jazz group
co-led by saxophonist Jeff Clayton and bassist John Clayton.
Their Grammy-nominated CD "The New Song and Dance" also features
John's son Gerald on piano.
This Sunday, all three Claytons will be in town to perform at
JB's Lounge. Jeff Clayton recently moved to the Sacramento area,
and he wants to bring other major artists here on a monthly
basis.
He talked about that, about the new CD, and about his career
as a studio musician with Capital Public Radio's Gary
Vercelli.
