Brown: "This whole effort has been an act of faith, so yeah, we're moving ahead with the faith that the money's gonna come in - and you have to do it that way. Although we are, seriously, worried that right now, we only have money in hand to get us maybe into the first week or two of February, and we had hoped to get through March."
On the bright side, Brown says the participating churches love the program. Far more congregation members have volunteered than expected. And some of the volunteers have even helped the homeless people with job opportunities and resumes.
