California Public Employees' Retirement System has called out companies such as Apple Inc. and The Walt Disney Co. for its boards and performance during the past two decades.
But its Focus List is not needed as much today.
Instead, the nation's largest public pension fund is taking a much
gentler and kinder approach, at least when it comes to a public

performance.

Street.
