If you’re looking for job security, the Sacramento city council has been a pretty good place to work lately. Incumbents haven’t lost in 18 years – and in 2008, the four council members up for re-election all ran unopposed.
This year’s incumbents aren’t so lucky. There are four seats on Tuesday’s primary ballot – half the council – and all four races are competitive. For more, we turn to Ryan Lillis, who covers the City Hall beat for the Sacramento Bee.
