It was originally put into place about 20-years ago…back when home construction was booming in Vacaville. But with the current real estate slump, city officials are simplifying the approval process.

Council members unanimously rejected a proposed two-year suspension of the Planned Growth Ordinance. Instead, they decided to make it easier for developers of infill projects to get building permits.
