Downtown got about 64-hundredths of an inch of rain yesterday.
Forecaster George Cline with the National Weather Service in Sacramento says today’s storm will pack an even heavier punch.
“Rainfall-wise it looks like we’ll probably pick up a little more rain out of this one and winds will be pretty strong. We’re looking at wind gusts up to 55 MPH in the valley at times. So yeah – a little bit stronger than yesterday’s.”
Cline says a little more than an inch of rain is expected to fall in downtown Sacramento today. Another storm is expected tomorrow.
Cline says the series of storms has all the signs of an El Nino pattern with moderate temperatures and lots of moisture.
