Upcoming World AIDS Day and what Sacramento is doing about it; Lee Child, author and creator of the character "Jack Reacher;" Thornton Percival, former model for artist Norman Rockwell; Holiday concerts in this week's Sound Advice.
World AIDS Day Every year on December 1, countries around the world commemorate World AIDS Day. An estimated 34 million people worldwide have HIV/AIDS.  In the greater Sacramento area, over 5,000 people are infected with the disease, 1,000 of which do not even know. Emily Tsuchida, nurse practitioner at the Center for Aids Research, Education & Services (CARES), joins us to share her experiences with treating HIV positive patients.

Lee Child If you haven't heard of author Lee Child, the name "Jack Reacher" might be more familiar. Jack is Lee's character in a series of novels, and will be played by Tom Cruise in the upcoming movie "Jack Reacher." Lee returns to SacramentoThursday for the Bee Book Club, and we'll talk with him in our studio before his evening event.

Rockwell Models Fifty years ago, 12-year old Thornton Percival's face was made famous in prints by Norman Rockwell, who used him as a model for a series of Boy Scouts illustrations.  The not-so-well known part of the story: He was never actually a Boy Scout.  He'll be at the Crocker Art Museum this Sunday but joins us today, along with the museum's Rika Nelson and Lial Jones, to discuss the part he played in the Norman Rockwell legacy.
