Listen Now:
Texas Governor Rick Perry is getting even more aggressive with his push to lure California businesses to the Lone Star state. Perry’s administration is running a radio ad in major California cities this week.

Perry: "Building a business is tough, but I hear building a business in California is next to impossible…"

Governor Perry's made several recruiting trips to California already - but the radio ad is a new tactic.

Logue: "I don't like seeing the ad, because a lot of what it says is true."

Republican Assemblyman Dan Logue says the California legislature ought to roll back some of the state's worst regulations to give the state's businesses a chance to compete.  Democrats, meanwhile, are dismissing Perry's ad:

Steinberg: "It's an obvious act of desperation.  California over the past year has created more jobs than Texas, Oregon and West Virginia combined."

Still, Senate Leader Darrell Steinberg says Democrats will spend the year looking at ways to streamline regulations.
