Tahoe Crayfish California Governor Jerry Brown has recently signed into law a bill that legalizes commercial fishing of crayfish, which could mean good things for the Lake Tahoe Basin. Officials estimate the lake holds 240 million to 280 million invasive crayfish, and fishing the crustaceans will provide local food for consumers and create a new industry. Of course, there are a few hiccups in the deal too. Capital Public Radio’s Sierra Reporter Ky Plaskon joins us to explain.
