Plenty Of Art At This Year's Burning Man Festival

In the Nevada Museum of Art theatre a colorful crowd gawks at a slide show previewing art works from China, Israel, Canada, Holland, Africa and the Czech Republic.

Associate Director of Art Management for Burning Man, Beth Scarborough says 372 pieces of art will be on the flat white playa 120 miles north east of Reno.

“I think it is the biggest playground for art out there this year," says Scarborough. "It is the biggest, it is the brightest in a lot of ways, I think there is more opportunity for people to play with their creativity, to develop things, explore to enjoy and kind of get out there.”

Places like the Generator, a large warehouse in Sparks, Nevada with free space for artists are cropping up and providing more building space for the large-scale art, says Scarborough.

The Burning Man festival runs through Labor Day.
