Filmmaker Greg Finton Award-winning Sacramento filmmaker and editor
Greg Finton is a busy man who has worked on biographies of both Barack Obama and Dick Cheney. This Saturday you will find the two films, "
The World According To Dick Cheney" and "A Mother's Promise: Barack Obama Bio Film," as well as Finton, at the Nevada City Film Festival. Finton will also present a special screening of "Making Dazed" Saturday to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the classic high school cruising film "Dazed and Confused." And, as if that's not enough, he just wrapped work on a TV documentary about American teachers called "Teach," which airs this Friday on CBS. Finton joins us to discuss his role in each film and the Nevada City Film Festival, which runs Thursday to Sunday at four venues in Nevada City.

Sacramento Bee Columnist Marcos Breton.
Sound Advice: Launch Entrepreneurs/organizers Clay Nutting and Mike Hargis have made no secret of their hopes the annual
LAUNCH music and arts festival will parlay Sacramento into a city known around the world for music, much like South By Southwest has done for Austin, Texas. Last year 5,000 people turned out for the festival and this year Hargis and Nutting expect more than 10,000 patrons. The event starts in front of the MAARS building at 20th and K Wednesday and moves to Cesar Chavez Plaza for the weekend. To get a taste of this year's LAUNCH, Nutting and Hargis are joining us for this week's
Sound Advice with music from some of the bands that will perform this week.
