January is Restaurant Month in California. Starting Friday, Stockton is celebrating Restaurant Week with specials aplenty, and a special mix of cultures and cuisines.
Twenty-nine restaurants in Stockton will be cooking up lunches and dinners for the 10-day event.
Many restaurants will feature bargain-priced entrees and prix fixe meals.
Executive Chef Justin Good at Mile Wine Company says it’s a good way for people to sample new restaurants and save money.
“We’re doing a three-course for $30, choice of salad or soup, three different entrees, three different desserts,” says Good.
Lexi Taylor says she’s looking forward to trying some of the newer eateries.
“I like Asian foods, Thai, and Chinese and Japanese, Italian.
Pretty much everything then. I love everything. I love food,” she laughs.
The restaurants participating offer everything from sushi to burgers and from Italian to Mexican.
