After a seven-year absence in Placer County, Harley-Davidson is getting ready to open a new motorcycle dealership in Rocklin.
The Sacramento Business Journal's Digital Editor Sonya Sorich says it signals an improving economy.
"Harley-Davidson had a Rocklin location that closed when the economy went south," Sorich says. "And of course this new location is a sign that, while at least for Harley-Davidson, that things are picking up economically."
A dealership will open a new site on Granite Drive in Rocklin early next year. It's expected to fill about 30,000 square-feet of a building the franchisee has purchased.
Harley-Davidson has two other Sacramento area sites: One on Arden Way and another in Folsom.
Sorich also has details about Texas-based restaurant chain Bennigan's replacing KBar and Cafe Bernardo at 10th and K streets in downtown Sacramento, as well as Downtown Macy's revamped Taste Bar Cafe reopening tomorrow.
