A revamped version of a downtown Placerville restaurant opened this week. Sonya Sorich with the Sacramento Business Journal says a lot of people eat at the restaurant - Tortilla Flats - before going to Apple Hill or South Lake Tahoe.
"It's been around for about 40 years," says Sorich. "And the most recent version of Tortilla Flats closed late last year. Now a married couple that operates multiple businesses in the Bodega Bay area has reopened the restaurant and it's now called Tortilla Flats Cantina."
Besides the name change and a brighter interior - other differences at the restaurant include the menu which now emphasizes organic eggs, free-range chicken and antibiotic-free meats.
Sorich also has news on when the new Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op store will open...an official opening of roads in the downtown railyards later this month...and the Pour House in midtown Sacramento transforming into Highwater.
