Summer Deaflympics Matthew Klotz, a senior at Vista del Lago High School, returned from Bulgaria on Monday night carrying several prize medals in his luggage. The 17-year-old Sierra Marlins swimmer, who suffers from severe hearing loss, competed in the 22nd International Summer Deaflympics in Sofia last week. There, Klotz won America's first swimming gold medal of the week, in addition to another gold and bronze medal, and broke two deaf world records. Today, the Cameron Park resident joins us to talk about his experience at the Deaflympics and his hearing impairment.

Todd Borg Tahoe Chase is the 11th book in the Owen McKenna series of mystery thrillers based in Lake Tahoe and written by local author Todd Borg. This newest installment, released this month, features a murderer chasing his victim through alpine ski trails. The Tahoe-based writer joins us in studio today to talk about the novel and preview a series of speaking events starting on Saturday in Cameron Park.
