A plan to raise Sacramento water rates is moving forward.
Wednesday night, the Sacramento Advisory Commission approved the increases. KCRA reports water rates could go up by as much as $30 over the next four years.
The money would pay for water system upgrades, including replacing 100-year old water pipes.
The proposed rate increase will go before the Sacramento City Council in March.
