(AP) - A Sacramento community college student has been arrested on suspicion of making threats on social media.
The Sacramento Bee reports that 19-year-old Cosumnes River College student Christopher Salazar was arrested Monday and booked on suspicion of making threats to commit a crime resulting in death or great bodily injury.
A college spokeswoman says the student sent a Snapchat message to friends threatening to take a weapon into a classroom. One of the recipients informed police, who found the student at his home. There were no weapons at the home.
The student is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
