Target settled a nearly $4 million lawsuit with several California counties. The district attorneys of Santa Cruz, Marin, Contra Costa, Fresno, and Sonoma Counties and the San Diego City Attorney's Office announced the terms of the settlement.
Target was accused of violating false advertising and unfair competition laws and the terms of a 2008 injunction. They alleged that the chain store unlawfully charged customers more than Target's lowest advertised price.
