The City of Roseville posted its best water conservation rate of the year in November. The City is close to its yearly goal as well.
People, businesses and government reduced water consumption by 29 percent -or 205 million gallons- compared to November of last year.
Maurice Cheney with the City of Roseville says people are taking advantage of opportunities to conserve.
"We provide water-wise house calls, where people come in and check water, give water-saving tips and give free devices. So people have taken advantage of that service. As well, we've really upped our water waste reporting.
The City has increased its water patrols to include night patrols looking for improper watering.
For the year, Roseville has reduced consumption by two-billion gallons or 19 percent compared to the first eleven months of last year.
The city hopes a strong month of conservation in December will help it meet its goal of 20-percent conservation for the year.
