Gas Price Spike A record-breaking spike in
California's gas prices may soon come to an end. In an emergency
decision Sunday, Governor Jerry Brown directed the state's Air
Resources Board to allow the sale of winter blend fuel three weeks
earlier than normal. We'll speak with a fuel market expert
about the reasons for the spike in gas prices, the ways it could
have been avoided, and what we should expect at the pumps in the
coming days.
News Network: Stockton The nation's
unemployment rate may have dipped below eight percent for the first
time since the start of the recession, but there're are still
many California cities struggling with double digit
unemployment numbers. In Stockton, for instance, more
than 17 percent of the eligible workforce can't find a
jobs. But, to put this current number in perspective,
nearly a quarter (22.3 percent) of Stockton's eligible workforce
was unemployed two years as home foreclosures hit an all-time

Sac Hop 2012 JE Paino is the man behind the
rebirth of one of Sacramento's oldest beers: Ruhstaller. Now, Paino is attempting to
revive another Sacramento tradition: cultivating hops. The
region was once hops capital of the United States but hasn't grown
the beer ingredient in over two decades. Paino started
planting in April and harvested in August. Now, in limited
stock at select locations, the fruits of his labors are available

percent of its ingredients coming from California.
