Ounce of Prevention" profiles community health innovators
in California and Mexico who are championing strategies and
technologies to help people become more resilient and require less

Secret Shopper Scam If you've ever
looked for a job in the Pennysaver or on Craigslist, you've
probably been tempted to become a paid "mystery shopper." The
job listing promises good pay for shopping and subsequently writing
a review of your experience - best of all, you get to keep the
items you purchase. But what you won't read in the job
listing is that "mystery shopping" is the most common scam in
Sacramento County. To explain this and other scams is the
head of SAFE
Credit Union's anti-fraud department, Vanessa Oddo.
The Gathering Table After being
diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Sonoma chef Ronda Giangreco faced down the disease by
hosting 52 dinner parties in one year for over 120 guests.
"The Gathering Table" is a humorous and
heartfelt recollection of Giangreco's yearlong dinner party.
