High Speed Rail The High Speed Rail
Authority has released a revised business plan for the second
time. The cost has dropped from $98 billion to $68 billion
and the route has been altered to start in the Los Angeles
area. Also, a
report recently released shows California needs
better training programs to ensure that local workers benefit from
jobs created by the new transportation.

Bible Funmentionables If you are celebrating
Easter this year by going to church, you might hear some of the
usual passages from the Bible. But a good place to find the
verses you won't hear in church is a relatively new book by first
time Sacramento author Michael Morris. "Bible Funmentionables" is funny without being
either pro- or anti-religion. Using multiple editions of the
Bible as fodder, Morris has created a book full of the comically
outdated verses of scripture preachers won't preach.
