Parts of the site extoll the virtues of the airport or the new Kiefer Landfill biomass project. Brenda Bongiorno with the county says other parts, like the green map, give people a chance to see how they can get from here to there with the least amount of pollution.
BONGIORNO: "We have transportation items such as bikeways, the light rail park and ride lots and also electric vehicle charging stations and ethanol stations.."
The site also has updates on current efforts to gain LEED certification by projects like the Vineyard water treatment project. Bongiorno says it took county staff four months to get all of the county's environmentally-friendly projects and resources in one place.
