School Bus Cuts Governor Jerry Brown announced $1 billion in spending cuts this week.  Some school districts in the Sacramento region are worried that a nearly $250 million midyear funding cut to transportation budgets will primarily affect rural and low-income districts.

Transcontinental Railroad  We'll review local efforts to preserve the Transcontinental Railroad from Sacramento to Donner Pass

Submerge magazine 100th Submerge Magazine has its 100th issue on newsstands now.  We'll talk with co-founder Jonathan Carrabas about how he keeps the Sacramento-based bi-weekly music, art and lifestyle publication going, and the celebration planned.
