Here's the governor's latest analogy about the pile of bills he's sifting through:

Brown: "It's like a fire hose that you have to drink or something."

And Wednesday, Brown vowed once again to veto bills he finds unnecessary.

Brown: "I embody my thoughts in very succinct messages that you'll be getting many of in the next three weeks."

An hour later, out came the veto messages.  In one, Brown said he just signed a bill, quote - "virtually identical to the one before me.  Another one won't be needed."  He called another measure "a good idea but not one that needs a law."  On that last bill, which dealt with the closure of state parks, Brown said what parks really need is money - then criticized the measure's Republican author for blocking tax extensions.  Senator Tom Harman responded on Twitter by calling the veto "retaliatory politics."
