Appetite 

Teddy Briggs, the man behind Appetite, has a new record from which we feature two songs this week and California band rap sheet as long as your leg.  Next week Teddy will drop by the Off Air studios to chat about the album and record release party happening Friday, Sept. 9^th in Midtown Sac.

Podcast At Last!

Find Appetite, My Morning Jacket, Sister Crayon and more now on The Off Air Podcast.  We launched it this week and hope you'll jump on board as we continue to branch out to iTunes and other outlets.  You'll hear a new song and background info on the featured band every week. 

Who knows maybe we'll drop in the occasional Off Air / In Studio or other surprises.  If you have a suggestion for a featured band or downloadable content let us know!

From the Intern Desk

Congratulations to former Off Air intern Clare Flynn! She was accepted as NPR Music's newest Fall intern.  Clare worked on the show last summer between her Junior and Senior year at UCLA.  Clare's first day at Off Air was spent setting up our in-studio performance with Sea of Bees (and we all know how NPR feels about them!) 

Best of luck, Clare!  Tell Bob and Robin I say hi ... after you tell them who I am and how much I moon over their work.     

Off Air's current summer intern, Isaac Bunch, is wrapping up this week and heading back to New York for his sophomore year at Columbia University.  In the time he's been with Off Air he's reviewed records, edited audio for this show and on air and informed me that Chad Smith (drummer for The Red Hot Chili Peppers) is apparently one fantastic jazz percussionist.  Good luck this Fall, Isaac and thanks for all your hard work!
