FITZGIBBON: It's logical for us to train people locally that live in this area so that they will go on and take a job locally.
Dave Tonelli of CSU Stanislaus says the collaboration between the two institutions addresses the need for jobs and health care in the Central Valley.
TONELLI: This collaboration is bringing needed training out to an area where health care professionals are needed and students would like to receive this education in their home area.
The University and Kaiser will roll out classes in sonography and radiography this fall.
