Judiciary Budget Cuts Gov. Jerry Brown proposed last week permanently cutting the judiciary's budget by $200 million as part of his plan to reduce the state's deficit. The governor's budget proposal leaves it up to the California Judicial Branch to decide - at least initially - where to make the cuts.
