The exhibit hall at the 2010 Emerging Technologies Summit features perhaps three-dozen energy efficiency and green-tech companies, electric utilities and government agencies. Davis: "…it's just the green technology, the green environment out here. People understand the technology. California is by at least a couple of decades ahead from most other states."
Also, he says, the state's laws and regulations - like California's landmark greenhouse gas reduction legislation. Last week, voters rejected Prop 23, which would have suspended that legislation until the economy improves. Davis and officials from other companies say they'll benefit from that vote.
