High temperatures are expected to be only in the mid-to-upper 80s…all week long.
Angus Barkhuff is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. He says the high-pressure system that would normally bring us triple-digit-weather…is over another state.
“We’ve got a relatively strong, for this time of year, low-pressure trough over Northern California and the high pressure system is centered over Texas a little bit further east than normal.”
The average temperature for today’s date is 95-degrees…but we’re only expected to get to 85 today.
Barkhuff says it’s been a pretty mild summer so far in the Sacramento area…but he warns August and September are also known to bring very hot temperatures.
