California International Marathon While most runners in this weekend’s California International Marathon are planning for the cold morning temperatures, competitor Richard Hunter has other concerns. The legally blind runner is competing again in the marathon, but this year he had more to overcome before making it to the starting line. We'll talk with him about it. We'll also check in with John Shumacher, organizer of the CIM, about higher security at this year's race and what runners and spectators alike can expect.

Crocker Ball This weekend is the 52nd annual Crocker Ball. The fundraising event is already sold out, but proceeds benefit education programs at the Crocker Art Museum. We'll talk with Stacey Shelnut-Hendrick, Director of Education at the Crocker, about the various programs and Sarah Zeff, the Chair of this year's Crocker Ball, has details on the event.

Davis Arts Benefit It's the 10th Annual "Home for the Holidays" show for the Davis Schools Arts Foundation. Performers include part of the very popular Mumbo Gumbo. We'll talk with event organizer Billy Fairfield about the charities the benefit supports and we'll hear a song from some of this year's performers.
