BART Strike A BART strike continues into day four in the By Area. Union members and transit officials were in talks over the weekend after two BART workers were will killed on the job, but there's still no indication employees will return to work anytime soon.

Damaging to Unions? The workers who run the Bay Area's mass transit system have choked off traffic into and out of San Francisco after contract negotiations failed Thursday night. BART employees, who are members of the Service Employees International Union, are striking over wage increases and rule changes.
But the employees are already the highest paid transit workers in California. Will this strike over higher pay actually be counterproductive and hurt the workers' cause? Will Bay Area residents stranded in traffic blame union power? "The Turn of the Screw" Jeffrey Hatcher's adaptation of Henry James' classic ghost story
"The Turn of the Screw" is hitting the Sacramento stage just in time for Halloween. Described by Stephen King as "the quintessential ghost story, "The Turn of the Screw" tells the story of a young governess sent to care for two young children at an isolated mansion in the English countryside. Shortly after her arrival, the governess begins to see visions of not one, but two malicious ghosts determined to possess the children shee's caring for.
