Field Poll: Campbell Leads GOP Senate Hopefuls, but All Trail Boxer

Three Republicans are vying for the chance to beat Boxer: Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and the candidate who joined the race last week, former Congressman Tom Campbell. Boxer leads all three by double-digits: Campbell by 10 points, Fiorina by 15 and DeVore by 17.

That could be because voters know a lot more about Boxer than they do about the Republicans. Nearly 90 percent rate the senator either favorably or unfavorably, while large majorities say they don’t have any opinion of the GOP candidates.

In fact, nearly 40 percent of Republican voters haven’t made up their minds about the primary race yet. Among those that have, Campbell leads with 30 percent, Fiorina has 25 and DeVore trails with six percent.
